Kelly Hill is the Director of Education for Temple Coffee Roasters in Sacramento, CA. She has enjoyed watching the specialty coffee community in Sacramento grow over the last 7 years. She has competed in the 2017 and 2018 United States Brewers Cup Competition and has helped coordinate a variety of local competitions in her hometown of Sacramento. She has instructed and volunteered at Barista Camp, Expo, and Access. In her spare time, she enjoys eating ice cream, listening to true crime podcasts, and hanging out with her two cats.
I have been a member of the SCA and BGA since 2013 and worked through Barista Levels 1, 2 and IDP training. I taught at Barista Camp 2017 under the new curriculum and have volunteered at SCA Expo, RGA Sensory Summit, Access, Barista Nation, and more! I have personally invested a lot of time and effort in the Sacramento coffee community as a leader on the SPLAT (Sacramento Public Latte Art Tournament) and Sacramento Speciality Coffee Week for 3 years as well as coordinating other events at Temple. I would love to see my community reach its full potential and become more active in the greater coffee community. Sacramento has seen tremendous coffee growth and I have already put in a lot of work here to unite the community so I would be ecstatic to see us more active in the SCA.
