2021 - 2023 SCA USA Chapter Nominations are open!

Hello US coffee community! The time has come again to nominate and select new committee members for your local SCA Chapter. 

Nominations are open from February 1st to April 2nd and a lottery selection will take place from April 19th to 23rd. Results of the new leadership will be announced by May 3rd.

This year we are conducting a partially-random lottery to fill the open positions on the SCA US Chapter committee. We opted for a partially-random lottery to remove any barriers to entry while also encouraging a more diverse and wide range of nominated candidates.

If you would like to nominate yourself for a position, please fill out the form above with your details. If you would like to nominate someone else, please fill in the nominees name and contact information. Once the nomination period has closed we will contact them directly to verify their interest in participating.

Why should I nominate myself to serve on the SCA USA Chapter?

A chapter reflects the SCA’s global vision, mission, and purpose on a local scale. Chapters can more efficiently develop and serve their communities with respect to culture and language. As a committee member of an SCA Chapter, you help provide access, influence, and a sense of belonging to your local community as part of a global network.

SCA Chapters are organized and lead by volunteers in their country. The election is run by SCA staff and communicated via email to all SCA members as well as promoted to the general community. In the US Chapter election, anyone from the community can be nominated for a leadership position. There is no limit to the number of nominees. All selected leadership are required to commit to the two-year term, volunteer responsibility, and SCA membership when they accept the position.
