Meet the Slate of Candidates for the USA Chapter National Coordinator Role

The SCA USA Chapter Committee Election for the 2022-2024 National Coordinator Position will open on Monday, February 28, 2022 and close on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. SCA members based in the United States of America will receive their ballot via email from surveys@sca.coffee, so please be sure to add the email address to your contacts. You must be a full paid SCA member before election starts to be eligible to vote.

The SCA USA Chapter will give a voice and support to local coffee communities across the country, provide a home to the US Competitions Committee(s), and present the opportunity for local members to get involved in the activities of the organization.

The roles open for election are:

The National Coordinator is the voice and representative of the United States of America for the Specialty Coffee Association. This is an elected role by popular vote. More information available at usa.sca.coffee/elections

NATIONAL COORDINATOR

Adam JacksonBey

National Coordinator Candidate


Adam JacksonBey is a proud Ohioan, a former competitive barista, a former Barista Guild of America Executive Council Member, USCIGS Working Group member, coffee community organizer, founder of Go Fund Bean, and Virgo who has worked in specialty coffee for 10 years.

While a DC-based coffee professional, he's served on the DMV Coffee board for 5 years, helping to plan, implement, and execute events throughout the DC, Southern Maryland, and Northern Virginia area. He also served on the planning committee for both the Access and Bloom events put on by the newly unified Barista Guild.

A notorious sandwich enthusiast, he can often be found on #coffeetwitter both leading discussions and hoping the algorithm will hide his tweets to no avail.
He’s also really smart and kind.

Arno Holschuh

National Coordinator Candidate

Arno Holschuh is the Chief Coffee Officer and founding team member at Bellwether Coffee. In this role he oversees roast quality and the green coffee operation of the company. His professional focus is to foster sustainability and inclusion through new products and business models. A current member of the Coffee Technicians Guild, he has at one time been a member of all three professional guilds within the SCA. He is also a board member at 1951 Coffee, which provides vocational training within the coffee industry to refugees and asylees to the US.
