Lane Mitchell
Lane is a member of the Leadership Council of the USA Chapter of the Specialty Coffee Association. She also serves as a sensory judge for the US Coffee Championships.
Lane manages sales and marketing for North Carolina-based Carrboro Coffee Roasters. She also helps run Women In Coffee Project, a non-profit that supports women throughout the entire coffee value chain. She is honored to serve as a mentor/advisor for the Coffee Equity Lab at Vanderbilt University.
She has twice presented on social sustainability in coffee at the Specialty Coffee Association Annual Expo and at New York Coffee Festival. She regularly speaks at other industry events on gender issues.
With 10 years of experience in specialty coffee, among Lane’s accomplishments is launching and commercializing the Café Femenino Program’s branded coffee in the United States— Café FemeninoCoffee, a Fair Trade organic roasted coffee brand with women’s empowerment at its core.
